Alexis Korner : Cyril and I opened our own club, The Ealing Jazz Club, on March 17th, 1962. There was a tremendous feeling of excitement about the whole thing. Word-of-mouth reports made the club a full house first night and we made thirty-six quid between the six of us. They were a tremendous audience, all the blues audience in London at the time.
