Otis Redding : I was in the Stax Studio watching a recording session with Johnny Jenkins, a guitar player. I was the vocalist with Jenkins and I was awaiting a chance to record.
Eventually, when the session was over, there was some time left and we cut These Arms Of Mine, which was my first record and sold about 800,000. It was a big hit straight away.
