Shepherd's Bush Empire is opened on Shepherd's Bush Green, London, England, UK, Europe. It is built as a music hall for impresario Oswald Stoll, designed by theatre architect Frank Matcham and among its early performers will be Charlie Chaplin. In 1953 it will become the BBC Television Theatre, and in 1994, it will begin operating as a music venue.
