A feature in today's edition of music trade magazine Billboard in the USA reports that teenagers, formerly considered to be singles buyers, are now buying more LPs than in the past. However, record companies have found that if an album shares its title with an associated hit single, sales are dramatically improved. A Warner Bros spokesman states that 50% of the company's album releases are now teen-oriented.
