Gered Mankowitz (tour photographer) : He (guitarist Brian Jones) was capable of fantastic charm, then his dark side would emerge. He was the first to experiment with acid, and it was beginning to have an effect. In Miami he said to me, 'I've got two tabs of acid - have one with me.' I said, 'Thank you but no', and he said, 'OK, I'll take both of them and you write down everything I say.' 'No thanks, Brian.' "
