Hit songwriter Al Kooper and music publisher Irwin Schroeder, loaded on mescaline, go to see the film The Loved One, in Manhattan, New York City, USA. Halfway through, the movie stops because of a city-wide power blackout. Kooper wanders through the blackened streets marvelling, in his stoned state, at the ensuing chaos.
