Neil Sedaka (composer of Solitaire) : Elvis’ version of Solitaire is haunted and paranoiac. He also altered the melody and the rhythm in a way that doesn’t do it justice at all. I was flattered that he wanted to record it but his version of the song is a very, very different interpretation than mine.
