Roger Daltrey : They’re just great songs and I’m proud of them. The way I figure it, if I’m going to go out there doing it on my own, sooner or later I’m probably going to get fans who’ve never heard of The Who and, if I can turn them on to The Who’s music, then I’m doing a worthwhile job. It doesn’t sound the same as The Who, then again I think it still sounds good.
I love singing. Making records, is probably the worst aspect of singing, sitting there in a studio where usually the conditions are bloody awful, and I think I'm a much better live singer than I am a recorded singer, My voice is too big for records. It seems to flatten everything else out. I just want to do it, and it gets a lot out of me that I can't get out any other way.
