Stand!, the fourth LP by Sly And The Family Stone, is certified as a gold disc by the R.I.A.A. in the USA. Interestingly, three gold discs have been awarded to three San Francisco-based artists over the past three days - Sly, Santana and Janis Joplin - all of whom played at the Woodstock festival three months earlier.
