Vernon Dalhart releases The Wreck of the Old 97 / The Prisoner's Song, on the Victor Olde Time label in the USA. It will become the first country record to sell a million copies. Dalhart will eventually record The Prisoner's Song eighteen times and it will be issued on 53 labels in the USA.
