Connie Francis sings Never On Sunday at the 1961 Academy Awards Presentation in The Civic Auditorium, Santa Monica, California, USA. Also on hand is Bobby Darin, to give out the awards. Never On Sunday, the title theme from the film of the same name, with music and lyrics by Manos Hadjidakis, wins the Best Original Song Oscar.

Neil Sedaka : Connie Francis asked us to do a song entitled Where The Boys Are and I ended up doing the entire soundtrack for the movie of the same name. But I was squeezed out of the Academy Awards. It was the biggest-selling record from a movie that year and Joe Pasternak, the producer, said, 'I assure you you'll get a nomination.' But we didn't, because rock'n'roll was a no-no. It wasn't 'legitimate' so Never On Sunday won.
