Jim Irvin (audience) : We heard the strings of Liars A to E, then the red plush curtains opened to reveal the horn section, in boxing boots and pony tails, playing violins which they then threw off stage, as their horns were thrown on.
There was a white gauze backdrop, so no amps or rock paraphernalia was visible, making it more like a theatre performance than a gig. They did the songs that would become too-Rye-Ay and, although Kevin was clearly not a great singer, he created the illusion so perfectly that the whole audience really felt drawn in and totally connected to them.
