Phil Rodriguez (promoter) : In 1989 I told the band I’d be at the airport for their arrival at 6am into Rio de Janeiro. I ended up having a very late night the night before, and I didn’t make it to the airport. Jake Berry – who was their Production Manager at the time – got the keys to my room and came in with the whole band and poured a bucket of ice water on me. That definitely got my ass up and, on our next run of dates in 1993 I was an the airport to great them on their arrival bright-eyed and bushy-tailed!
