Maurice Gibb (Bee Gees) : To have that as one of our first American gigs, was fabulous. It was huge stadium place, and we had everybody there that management could possibly invite … The Monkees, The Association. Vanilla Fudge was the support group. They played You Keep Me Hanging On for fifteen minutes and ran over time so we had to pull the plug on them. But we played well that night, and that gig really started it rolling for us in America.
