Jazz trumpeter Chet Baker is found dead on the Prins Hendrikkade, near the Zeedijk, the street below his room in Hotel Prins Hendrik in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with serious wounds to his head, apparently having fallen from the second floor window. Heroin and cocaine are found in the room and an autopsy also detected these drugs in his body.
