Nichelle Nichols, a star of the tv series Kicks And Company, is the guest on the radio programme Showcase Of Sound on WSBC-FM in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Nichols previously sang with Duke Ellington and Lionel Hampton, but her period of greatest success will begin in 1966 as Communications Officer Uhura in the tv series Star Trek.
