It is revealed on Instagram that the songwriting team behind TLC's 1999 single No Scrubs (Kandi Burruss, Tameka Cottle and producer Kevin Briggs) have now been added to the writing credits on Ed Sheeran's hit Shape of You - currently sitting at No1 in the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart in the USA. No reason for the addition is stated, but parts of the vocal melody of Shape Of You bear considerable resemblance to the hook of No Scrubs.
