Peter Schroeder : At that time in TV-land, one was totally not used to the volumeā¦ It was so powerful that within one minute most of the tv people in the studio had left.
Jimi Hendrix : They said 'Play as loud as you like', and we were really grooving when this little fairy comes running in and yells 'Stop! Stop! Stop! - the ceiling in the studio below is falling down.' And it was too - plaster and all.
Ralph Inbar (tv producer) : With all respect for Jimi Hendrix, all of us going through the ceiling, in my opinion, was just a little too much.
Claude Van Heye (photographer) : I wandered around with him for about an hour. He had just suffered a defeat and he felt defeated. So I could do with him whatever I wanted. He posed, very relaxed, looking attentively into the lens.
