When:

Short story:

Jarrod Dickenson releases the album Ready The Horses.

Full article:

The second album from this rootsy Texan troubadour is a delight from start to finish. Although steeped in country-blues and Memphis soul, Dickenson adroitly avoids the cliches while always respecting the traditions. A song like the slow-burning Take It From Me feels like you’ve maybe heard it before, and it’s finally coming back to you like a prodigal son. Cuts like In The Meantime reveal him as a shameless romantic, miles removed from the insincerity of the slick hat acts who proliferate and prosper in Nashville. Nothing More, about dancing with a beautiful woman, is perhaps the album’s most lump in the throat moment, but it’s all pretty damned wonderful.
