Veteran plank-spanker Haynes is revered for his work with The Allman Brothers, The Dead and Govt Mule, so it's good to be able to report that after three decades in the biz, he still sounds every bit as passionate about his bluesy rock thang as he did back in the 80s. Indeed, I'd go so far as to say that on his first solo studio outing since 1993 the man sounds decidedly re-invigourated. His decision to focus on vocals rather than guitar pays off handsomely on Save Me and Your Wildest Dreams, while the punchy Sick Of My Shadow oozes zest and vitality. Small Faces fans will also relish the distinctive presence of Ian McLagan on Wurlitzer and piano.
