Hendrix now had shorter hair and the silk headband, much like his appearance in the Woodstock film. He seemed moody and untalkative. He was quite unhappy with the building's sound system - vocals at the time were still usually routed through a standard PA system. He mumbled derogatory remarks about this.
Hendrix played the older songs with a perfunctory delivery and made almost insulting remarks to fans calling out for the old favourites.
