John Giddings (Solo agency) : When Coldplay made that announcement at the BRITS and everybody thought it meant they were retiring, I was standing outside their dressing room door shortly afterwards and I said, "Well, a great way to make sure everybody knows you’re not retiring would be to come and play The Isle Of Wight Festival" and their agent Steve Strange immediately went for it.
