Since 1940, from studios in the RCA Building, Radio City, New York City, USA, the show had been presenting live jazz and blues sessions by artists including Leadbelly, Benny Carter, Eddie Condon, Fats Waller, Dinah Shore, Lionel Hampton and Earl Hines.
