Michael Hoskings (promoter, Midas Promotions) : At the Isle Of Wight Festival with Springsteen, when John Giddings (owner, Isle Of Wight Festival) knew we were arriving, me, Mark Plunkett and Ronan Keating, he came out to meet us in a golf kart and drove us all over the site, showing us the stages, the backstage areas, the various tents … he got us some free Ray-Bans, I think … and he took an hour out of his day to be with us and made us feel special, on what must have been an incredibly busy day for him.

Mark Plunkett (Director MP Music Services) : The thing I remember most from that night was that John Giddings (owner, Isle Of Wight Festival) invited Ronan Keating and me down to watch and, standing in the VIP arena, it was wonderful just to see the look of pure joy on John’s face … not just because Springsteen was headlining his festival, and there were 60,000 people there, but because he’s an absolute music fan.
