Fact #141234

When:

Short story:

Still Parade releases its debut album, Concrete Vision, on Heist Or Hit Records in the UK, Europe.

Full article:

As is so often the case now, Still Parade is just one bloke, Niklas Kramer. He and his tape recorder are based in Berlin, Germany, and his music sounds like something Brian Wilson might create if he was a teenager now. Kramer still lacks the ability to craft hooks that grab you at first listen, but his frail vocal harmonies and understated, self-produced electronic backing tracks are captivating. His astoundingly beautiful debut single, Actors, was produced with experienced production help in professional studios and it’s tempting to think he should return to that method. However, Concrete Vision’s swirling closing track, True Love, is mesmerising and suggests that given time, he’ll figure out how to do it all himself.
