Jazz guitarist, singer, songwriter and performer Tony Romano dies of heart failure at a rest home in Santa Ana, California, USA. In a lengthy career he had performed on radio and appeared in Hollywood musical productions, becoming noted as a musical accompanist to Bob Hope and Frances Langford during their USO tours in World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars.
