Thomas Johansson (promoter, Sweden) : I first worked with Iron Maiden in 1980 when their singer was Paul DiAnno and they were the support act to Kiss. They played a 3,000 capacity room in Stockholm, and Paul left the band about a year later. That was the first time they’d played outside the UK. Both of these bands, of course, now play in stadiums.
