On their Hot In The Shade tour, when Kiss play at The Bicentennial Center in Salina, Kansas, USA, the band's enormous stage set overloads the arena's power supply, causing a transformer to explode outside the building and cutting electricity inside the arena. This abruptly ends the show. Paul Stanley phones a local radio station and promises, live on air, to return to Salina to make up for the shortened show.
