Peter Olliff (co-producer) : Scott (Walker), coming from LA, was aware of the Spector sound and probably had a good idea of how it was achieved, so it was him who wanted three keyboards, three guitars, three percussionists and so on. There'd also be two bass guitars, making a heavy, almost monotonous noise, which all helped to get this big sound going, and then a large orchestra on top.
