Rune Lem (promoter, LiveNation, Sweden) : When a band does a runner after a show, my boss Thomas Johansson is always there in a Mercedes behind the van when it’s trying to get away from the venue. We had U2 at Valle Hovin one time about 2005, so Thomas, as usual, gets his driver to put his car behind the limos for the band, so he can follow them to the hotel. He tells the driver to follow the limo, but they didn’t go to the hotel.They drove straight to the airport. They were doing a runner out of the country, not just out of the venue. So Thomas ended up at the airport and the band flew off.
