Short story:
On their Rock Or Bust tour, AC/DC play at The National Stadium, Warsaw, Poland, Europe, supported by Vintage Trouble.
Full article:
Steven Todd (promoter, Live Nation, Poland) : I feel like I’ve worked with them forever and they’ve always been wonderful.
Last time we had them here, which was 2010, we did a greenfield site, the airfield at Bemowo in Warsaw, but the audience is a little bit older and I don’t think they’d particularly like standing in a field for a long time. They’d prefer a reserved seat, a bit more comfort, so The National Stadium, which has the biggest capacity in Poland, was ideal. We did 58,000 tickets.
All you really have to do with an act like this is make the public aware of where and when they’re playing and make the tickets available in as many places as possible.
The highlight of the show for me was Let There Be Rock with that spectacular Angus 20-minute writhing on the floor guitar solo. They put on just about the best stage shows I’ve ever seen.
