Ian Samwell (producer) : We didn't have any original material so I wrote Watcha Gonna Do 'Bout It? specially for them. I'd been listening to Solomon Burke and that groove from Everybody Needs Somebody To Love was very interesting. We actually tried to move it away from that a little bit, but it just didn't want to go any other way. So that's what we finished up with. Solomon, forgive me, wherever you are.

I understand the essence of what people do. That's what I look at, what's going to be appropriate to them. You can't fit round pegs into square holes. I won't tell a band to dye their hair green and move to Seattle and play country music. They have to do whatever is in their hearts. Anything else is phoney and a waste of time and I really don't want to know about it.
