Fact #118188
When:
Short story:
The Undertakers play at The Cavern Club, Liverpool, UK.
Full article:
Brian Jones (The Undertakers) : We were called the Vegas Five and there was a misprint in the Liverpool Echo. We were playing at the Aintree Institute and we looked to see if we were listed. The name 'Undertaker' was advertised for the Aintree Institute and then we found the name Vegas Five in the 'deaths' column. We phoned (local deejay) Bob Wooler and he said, 'You might as well be called The Undertakers'.
Geoff Nugent (The Undertakers) : We were one of the best bands to come out of Liverpool, but ours was a very visual act. It wasn't strictly music and, as individualk musicians, we were probably the biggest load of rubbish that walked god's earth but, together we swung like a shower of monkeys.
