Don Powell (drums, Slade) : We had to use a police Land Rover to get back into our hotel after the concert at the Apollo in Glasgow. Poor old Swin (roadie) had to drive the Rolls Royce as a decoy. While he was driving down the street with hundreds of girls running after him, we were listening over the police radio to his progress.
