Ray Dorset (Mungo Jerry) : Hollywood was put on by the management company we happened to be with. We were on the same bill as The Grateful Dead, Jose Feliciano, Black Sabbath, Traffic, Ginger Baker’s Airforce, Tony Joe White. John Peel was the compere. We went on about 7.00pm on the Saturday, after Family had played. Everyone went completely crazy so they asked us to play again on the Sunday night. The In The Summertime/Mighty Man maxi single had come out on the previous Friday and it went into the chart the following Wednesday at No13. The following Sunday we did Disco Two - hosted by Tommy Vance - with The Who, Quintessence and Richie Havens, and then went straight to No1. I asked my boss at Timex for the afternoon off to do Top Of The Pops.
