Jeffrey Kruger (owner, The Flamingo) : My main business was the Flamingo which was a big earner, then I had the Florida Club and some other clubs including Dixieland Music. I was doing concerts and sending my jazz groups out.
I was managing them, looking after the club, and also running music publishing firms, and so I had no time to be in management full time. Larry Parnes stepped into a niche and good luck to him, he created what I could not have created. I could not have handled young tearaways, to be polite. I liked real talent rather than made-up talent, but I started it.
