Wally Bryson (The Choir) : I saw a black double-neck Gibson for the first time - Townshend showed me the intro to Substitute on one at the soundcheck. The Blues Magoos had lit-up suits. Peter Noone (Herman of The Hermits) and I stood stage left and watched The Who's set side by side. Townshend used two Fender Dual Showman amps and they sounded amazing. It was totally memorable. A year or so later, we opened up again for The Who when I was in Cyrus Erie.
