Short story:

Sixteen-year-old Jeanette Clark and J.L.Hancock are killed when their Chevrolet is hit by a tractor-trailer on Highway 341 near Barnesville, Georgia, USA. The incident will inspire local musician Wayne Cochran to compose and record the song Last Kiss. Cochran's version will become a local hit, but a cover by J. Frank Wilson And The Cavaliers will go to No2 in the Billboard Chart in the USA. Ironically, Wilson will be seriously injured in a car crash later in the year.
