Barry Dickins (music business agent) : I first got into The Who when they were still The High Numbers. I was seventeen. I saw them at The Goldhawk, and i thought they were tremendous, so I badgered their manager, Kit Lambert into taking me on as their agent. I was a really good bullshitter. I kept telling him I could do a better job than the guy who was doing it at the time, until eventually he took me on. I lasted about two years before they got too big for me, and I got the sack. I was gutted, but it was the right decision.
