Peter La Farge (songwriter) : I was with Johnny Cash at Nashville when he cut Bitter Tears. That album grew out of Ira Hayes, the song he sang at Newport. And a beautiful thing happened: Johnny's records were suddenly recognised as folk music by record dealers across the nation and are now sold as such. He's my blood brother and I even know what's wrong with him. He cares too much
