Ashley Goodall (A+R Man, EMI Records) : There was such a lot of interest in Maiden, so we had to quickly find a producer and get it out fast to catch the momentum, and we got it out in early February of 1980. We ended up having to tweak around with the speed and various things, I remember cutting it to speed it up a little bit from what was on the tape.
