Robert Smith (The Cure) : After the Faith album there had been a conscious decision by Fiction to push me a little bit more. Simon (Simon Gallup, bassist) took it very badly, and had a couple of people who were poisoning his ear, really. So there was a slight kind of tension because I was getting more attention Simon.
