I took him to a number of stores that specialised in tailored suits. We found a conservative suit that looked great on him. It was hilarious. He was like a hick, awkwardly fidgeting around and trying to loosen his tie. I didn't care how uncomfortable he was, the suit was perfect.

Jimi Hendrix : In New York City, USA.

Q. And how old are you?
Jimi Hendrix : Twenty-seven.

Q. Are you married or single?
Jimi Hendrix : Single.

Q. Where were you born?
Jimi Hendrix : Seattle, Washington, USA.

Q. Have you ever been convicted of a criminal offense, Mr. Hendrix?
Jimi Hendrix : No.

Q. You have told the court that you were born in Seattle, Washington, USA. Do you know how long you lived there?
Jimi Hendrix : Approximately, about ten years.

Q. Where did you move to then?
Jimi Hendrix : I was living in Vancouver, British Columbia and California - Northern California.

Q. Did you eventually go back to Seattle, Washington?
Jimi Hendrix : Yes.

Q. Did you then go into the American Army?
Jimi Hendrix : Yes.

Q. Do you recall what year that was?
Jimi Hendrix: No.

Q. How long were you there?
Jimi Hendrix : Approximately, about 18 months.

Jimi Hendrix : Yes. I hurt my back.

Jimi Hendrix : I was in the First Airborne Unit. I made a jump and I landed wrong.
