Tom Jones : People often think I am over-confident. In fact, when I did the Royal Variety Show I was terrified. It was my worst attack of nerves so far. There are so many experienced acts on the bill with you, and the Queen is there and you want everything to be just right.
I was so nervous my mouth dried up. My top lip stuck to my teeth while I was singing. But, nerves or no nerves, it's a wonderful feeling.
