I saw things down on the street that couldn't have been there. I saw Brian Jones who had just died from an apparent drug overdose five days before. The moment I saw him I went into a coma that lasted six days.
Getting back took a long time. It was like jogging through a place that was very monochromatic, like a ghost town where there were other people jogging or floating along. Or an Alice In Wonderland dream where the feet don't quite touch the ground.
I dreamed I was lost in an airport and people were coming up to me asking, ''Where are you going? What are you doing here?' And I would say, 'I'm waiting for Mick to come and get me.'
And he did. If he hadn't woken up and got me to the hospital so quickly, I would have slipped over the edge with Brian. Six days later I woke up in a hospital.
