Inductees are James Brown (inducted by Jazzie B) performs 'I Got You (I Feel Good)' Led Zeppelin [inducted by Roger Taylor of Queen], Wolfmother perform Communication Breakdown as a tribute; Rod Stewart (inducted by James Morrison) performs The First Cut Is the Deepest and Do Ya Think I'm Sexy; Brian Wilson (inducted by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd) performs God Only Knows and Good Vibrations; Bon Jovi (inducted by David A. Stewart and Kara Dioguardi) performs Livin' on a Prayer, Wanted Dead Or Alive and It's My Life; Prince (inducted by Beyonce Knowles) and Dusty Springfield (inducted by Joss Stone who performs Son of a Preacher Man). The occasion proves to be the last televised performance by James Brown.
Towards the end of U2's Vertigo tour, at Mount Smart Stadium, Auckland, New Zealand, as Bono walks out the venue after the show, he asks stage designer Willie Williams if, on their next tour, there might be a way the band could play to all the stadium. Their discussions will lead to the development of a massive structure known as The Claw, which will be used during the band's 360 Degree tour.
