Revered ska, rocksteady and reggae saxophonist Headley Bennett, having recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer, dies aged 85. Nicknamed Deadly Headley, he had performed on hundreds of recordings beginning in the 1950s. He played in the Studio One house band and on recordings featuring Bob Marley, Leslie Kong, The Abyssinians, Alton Ellis and Prince Far I to name but a few.
