Pedal steel guitarist Buddy Emmons dies aged 78, of a heart attack in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Emmons was rated high among the world's foremost pedal steel guitarists of his era and recorded with artists including Linda Ronstadt, The Everly Brothers, Ernest Tubb, John Hartford, Ray Price, Judy Collins, and Ray Charles. He was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in 1980.
