Moses Asch dies aged 80, of a heart attack in Lenox Hill Hospital, New York City, USA. Asch was best-known as the founder of the influential Folkways Records in 1948. Folkways recorded folk and blues albums by artists including Woody Guthrie, Lead Belly, Pete Seeger, Cisco Houston and Ella Jenkins.
