Geordie Hormel dies in Paradise Valley, Arizona, USA, after a short illness. During the 1950s and 1960s, Hormel composed music for tv shows including The Fugitive, Lassie, Naked City and The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin. In 1968, he founded The Village Recorder Studio in Los Angeles, California, which went on to become a major independent recording studio, used by The Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, The Doors and countless others.
